We introduce you to our legal partner
If you’re eligible, we introduce you to Recoup, a trading style of Clear Legal Limited, a firm of solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA 469975). They pay us for the introduction. It doesn’t change what you pay.

They check your accounts
Recoup asks you to confirm your mobile, then to connect your bank through FCA-regulated open banking. You log in on your bank’s own screen. Access is read-only, covers up to six years, and you can withdraw it at any time. Their solicitors review what it finds.

They complain for you
If there’s a case, they send an evidenced complaint to your bank or lender. The lender has eight weeks to reply. If it says no, or doesn’t reply, the complaint can go to the Financial Ombudsman, which can take several months.

Things are put right
If your complaint is upheld, the lender refunds interest and charges, adds interest, and corrects your credit file. If you still owe money, the refund may clear or reduce your balance first, with anything left paid to you.
